I do like the sheer pieces alot but i feel like as a whole he's just doing more of the same. Doing it well, but i'd like to be blown away by the ingenuity of a short gold mini dress, and not just oh another gorgeous Balmain short gold dress.
I see a few nice (even amazing) pieces, but overall I'm not a fan. I suppose Balmain is just not really my cup of tea, especially considering the ridiculously inflated prices.

They obviously subscribe to 'if it ain't broke? don't fix it' magazine.
Opulent, magpie-effect but hardly ground breaking. Still, people will emulate, chain stores will hijack it.

Hmm... I know I should like it, being a fashion blogger who sually go with the trends, but it just doesn't click for me. It's very similar to the other collections (sequins, army, trashy etc.), and it's starting to feel boring because I've seen this already. Some pieces look good, but overall I have to say no... :/

This is pretty boring sadly. The collection didn't seem to be evolve from last season.. or the season before that. It's nice but it's kinda stale.

You can't deny that the pieces are beautiful, but it's definitely getting repetitive. I'm almost positive that a gold sequin, v-neck gown (nearly, if not completely, identical to the one you posted) has been shown by him before.

I love the colors and detailing. I find a lot of the pieces beautiful. I am always enamored with the structuring of the shoulders but it feels like nothing new really. I need to look at it more.

It's not great. Looks like last fall's collection except more muddled. I think decarnin is just trend pandering.
I LOVE this collection. It's like ALL the best things I love about glam rock. This collection is for glam rock fans, not for the regular fashion lovers. It's a lifestyle. This is sooooo good. It's better than the last military thing, which I LOVED.

I mean really, I used to be a Balmain fan but all he did was switch his disco military inspiration to a disco FRENCH military.
this is an amazing collection.
it's totally different, except for the sharp shoulders, but it's still a great collection.
