Oh knightcat, youve got way better taste than this. Staple/Evil twin/Mink Pink are all owned by the same company, its just mass produced high street junk stealing ideas from small indie labels, while they pretend to be one.
ps They are also well known to fake blogger comments. so bewaaaare!
The range looks good... But its not very original... even the rolled jersey shorts have exact the same pocket details as A.Wangs'...etc etc ... too much of a rip off to be original... If the range had more personal detail added... then it would be a different story.
If Anonymous or ML came into the Minkpink/ Eviltwin/ Staple designroom and watched for 10 weeks the thought process, ideas and emotion that goes into each range than they would really be ashamed to have written these comments. Knighttcat, you have great taste. Anonymous, ML, keep your nasty comments to yourself and stop hiding behind a computer screen.
Labels at all levels are inspired and influenced by high end designers - no one screams when Top Shop or Sportsgirl imitate - they're simply making fashion more accessible - I believe that is exactly what a COMMERCIAL label is supposed to do.
Camilla and Mark enthusuastically referenced Balmain and Wang (as did many others) at Australian Fashion Week - but apparently its only worth pointing fingers when the product is at a price point that makes it accessible to the general masses.
I really hate this mentality that a label must be obscure or expensive to be fashionable and credible. Do those of us with less cash not deserve the opportunity to reference the labels we covet but could only dream of affording (or chose not to waste the cash on?).
And your audacity to tell Knight Cat what she can and can't like/post?!?! My god, why read blogs if you're going to go around telling other people what they should and shouldn't like/post?
Anonymous I'm really glad you're "better" than certain labels - your fashion snobbery (or as I call it "labelism") makes my skin crawl.
And that "fake posts" thing is hilarious (not to mention libel). I know them and they definately don't do this.
This comment smacks of a deeper rooted personal agenda (which by all means you're entitled to) but its a pity you couldn't make it personal in the only way that counts - By putting your name next to it.....
